Homecoming Week at Washington High School is September 23-28.
The Homecoming football game is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 27. The football Blue Jays take on Liberty at 7 p.m.
This year’s Homecoming theme is “Once Upon a Time.”
The Homecoming Court will be introduced at halftime of Friday night’s football game.
The Coronation will be at the dance, which takes place on Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Blue Jay Gymnasium from 7-10 p.m.
The Homecoming Parade is Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 3:30 p.m. It will be the same route as last year. It begins at Main and Cedar. It will continue on Main Street, turn on Jefferson Street to Eighth Street to Sunnyside and end at Washington High School.
Also as part of the Homecoming festivities, the annual WHS Powder Puff football game between the juniors and seniors, sponsored by No Excuses, takes place Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m. at Scanlan Stadium.
Homecoming dance tickets for students will be on sale Sept. 23-27 before school in the Guidance Lobby. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.
Sept. 23-27 is spirit week at Washington High School. The themes for each day are as follows:
Monday – Once Upon a Monday
Tuesday – Tourist Tuesday
Wednesday – Western Wednesday
Thursday – Time Travel Thursday
Friday – Famous Friday
