The Washington High School FFA Chapter recently had five members make it to the final round of selection to receive their State FFA Degree.
If everything goes well, the following members will receive their State FFA Degrees on Friday April 21, at the Missouri State FFA Convention in Columbia: Blake Dewert, Blake Ford, Katie Frankenberg, Luke Haberberger and Alex Huddleston.
Additionally, 20 Washington FFA members completed a Proficiency Application based on their SAE and competed against the 21 Area 14 FFA Association schools.
Washington FFA students ended up with seven applications placing third in their area, four applications placing second in their area, and five placing first with the opportunity to compete against the rest of the state in April.
The results of the state competition will be announced on Thursday, April 20, at the Missouri State FFA Convention.
The five FFA members who are competing at the state level are:
Evan Haberberger in the area of Diversified Crop Production Placement
Evie Boevingloh in the area of Equine Science Entrepreneurship
Andrew Frankenberg in the area of Fiber and/or Oil Crop Production
Blake Voss in the area of Specialty Animal Production
Blake Deppe in the area of Swine Production Placement.
