The Washington Police Department and Signz360 revealed its new School Resource Officer vehicle at Ziglin Signs in Washington on Wednesday, Jan. 2.
The Superhero car features totally original superheros Justice, Super Blue Jay and Stop It Boy.
The superheros were designed by School District of Washington students and spruced up by staff from Ziglin Signs, who donated the supplies and their time.
There were over 500 drawings submitted from all seven elementary schools in the SDOW. The winners were Campbellton first-grader Evan Kleekamp (Super Blue Jay), Washington West fourth-grader Zachary Sloan (Justice) and Clearview sixth-grader Jordan Massmann (Stop It Boy).
The idea for the superhero project came from elementary SRO David Burke.
A large gathering was on hand for the unveiling of the vehicle, including many members of the Washington Police Department, Ziglin Signs, School District of Washington staff and friends and family of the design winners.
