The Washington High School varsity boys soccer team opened GAC Central action on Tuesday, Sept. 17, with a matchup against Ft. Zumwalt North at Scanlan Stadium.
In a competitive contest, the Blue Jays dropped a 2-1 decision.
Washington’s junior varsity squad lost to Ft. Zumwalt North, 3-2.
It’s been a solid start to the season for Washington’s varsity soccer team. The Blue Jays recently took third-place honors at the Pacific Tournament, knocking off Rolla in overtime in the third-place game, 3-2.
Against Ft. Zumwalt North, Timmy Boehlein scored the Blue Jays’ lone goal on an assist from Gage Rombach.
Caden Robertson was in goal for the Blue Jays, registering five saves.
The Blue Jays, coached by Derek Schriewer and Brian Dougherty, own a 3-2 overall record entering their home match on Friday, Sept. 20.
