For those who have registered, the School District of Washington will offer free meals to children in the District ages 0-18 on weekdays starting Tuesday, March 24.
We understand how difficult this time is for many families, and we don’t want anyone to worry about where they will get their next meal.
The following information will explain how the program will work:
● Starting Tuesday, March 24, Grab and Go meal service will be offered at Washington West Elementary and Marthasville Elementary from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m and 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
● Families will pick up twice per week, Tuesday and Friday at one of the times above.
● Tuesday pick up/delivery will include Wednesday - Friday breakfast and lunch, and Friday pick-up will include Monday - Tuesday breakfast and lunch.
● This program through the USDA allows us to provide breakfast and lunch for weekdays only.
● Students or children ages 0-18 must be present at the time of pick-up or upon delivery.
● Delivery service will occur each Tuesday and Friday between 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Evening delivery will not be offered.
● An SDOW employee or volunteer will step off the bus to deliver the meals to your home, children can wave from inside the house, but must be present at time of delivery. Delivery will occur between 7:00 - 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday and Friday. Please look for the bus and be prepared upon arrival.
● SDOW employees/volunteers will be at Washington West and Marthasville Elementary pick up locations providing curb-side grab and go.
