Four individuals will vie for three open seats on the School District of Washington’s Board of Education during the upcoming June 2 election. The original election date of April 7 was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
There are three incumbents and one other individual who filed for the Board of Education.
Incumbents Scott Byrne, Susan Thatcher and Bob Oreskovic all filed on the opening day Dec. 17.
Dan Leslie filed on the final day Jan. 21.
Byrne is completing his fourth term on the Board after first being elected in 2008. Thatcher is finishing her second term after first being elected in 2014. Oreskovic is completing his first term after being elected in 2017. Leslie is seeking his first term on the board.
The three board positions will be decided in the Tuesday, June 2, 2020, election. Voters will vote for three candidates.
