Tuesday, April 5 Election: Six Candidates Running for Two Open Seats on Board of Education
Six candidates will vie for two open seats on the School District of Washington’s Board of Education during the Tuesday, April 5, election.
There was one incumbent and five newcomers who filed for the Board of Education during the filing period in December.
Matt Wilson of Washington is the lone incumbent in the race. He is completing his first term on the Board.
Newcomers on the ballot, all from Washington, are Kelly Brinkmann, Trish Mitchell, Chantell Unnerstall, Frank Wood and Maryanne Scaniosharp.
The two board positions will be decided in the Tuesday, April 5, election. Voters will vote for two candidates.
The Board of Education’s reorganization meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 19, at the SDOW's District Office (220 Locust Street) at 7:30 a.m.
