Kayla Reckert’s second-grade class at Augusta Elementary received a visit from Eric Rehmeier and Amy Barron, representing Rehmeier Farms in Augusta, on Thursday afternoon, Oct. 11.
The topic of the visit was pigs, and how pigs are raised on a farm.
Students had many questions for Rehmeier, who explained the process of raising pigs from birth.
Following the question and answer period, the students went outside to meet six-day old piglets from Rehmeier Farms. The students got to hold the piglets and ask additional questions.
