Students in the School District of Washington’s Missouri Options Program attended the Carpenter's Union Joint Apprenticeship Program Career Day in Carpentry on Wednesday, Sept. 26.
The event took place at the Carpenters Union Training Center in St. Louis.
During the day, students toured the training facility, learning about the different programs offered by the Carpenter's Union.
They also sat in on classes and received instruction that apprentice carpenters use to get certified.
Missouri Options students also received some hands-on training in carpentry by building wooden tool boxes that they kept as part of the days activities.
