Washington High School softball player Taylor Brown is the Washington Missourian Athlete of the Week.
Cam Millheiser
Millheiser, a senior and two-year starter at quarterback, scored four touchdowns in leading the Blue Jays to a 47-18 victory at Ft. Zumwalt East on Friday, October 15. He carried the ball 11 times for 129 yards, averaging 11.7 yards per attempt.
For the season, Millheiser has rushed for 814 yards on 113 carries, averaging 7.2 yards per attempt, and has scored 15 touchdowns. He’s also thrown for 119 yards and one touchdown.
The Blue Jays carry a 5-3 record into a home contest against Francis Howell Central on Thursday, October 21. District play begins next week.

Taylor Brown
Brown, a sophomore pitcher and first baseman, threw a complete game in the district title contest against Rockwood Summit. She allowed four runs on six hits with one walk and 12 strikeouts in leading the Lady Jays to an 8-4 victory.
For the season, Brown has a record of 15-3 with a 1.44 earned-run average heading into the Class 4 quarterfinal game against Farmington on Thursday, October 21. She’s recorded 220 strikeouts while walking 51 in 111.2 innings of work.
At the plate, Brown has a batting average of .462, an on-base average of .529 and a slugging percentage of .660 with 38 RBIs and 19 runs scored.
Brown was recently named the GAC Central Player of the Year.
