The Washington High School Marching Blue Jays gave a preview performance of their 2019 Marching Show before a large number of high school students and staff at Scanlan Stadium on Thursday morning, Sept. 19.
It marked the first time the Marching Blue Jays wore their new uniforms at home.
The Marching Blue Jays have been working since mid-summer and performed in the first festival on Sept. 21 at Sullivan.
The 2019 Marching Show is entitled "Flight" featuring music from:
"Fly to Paradise" by Eric Whitacre
"Sky Dance" by Richar Saucedo
"Air Waltz" by Oliver Davis
"The Firebird Suite" by Igor Stravinsky
"Flight" by Brandon Smith and Jimmy Nguyen
The Band is under the direction of Ryan Lovell, Tricia Holm and Jacob Bisaillon with assistance from Kristen Bretzke, Beth Kleepkamp, Kylee Neuberger, Stephanie Holdmeyer, Hannah Houser and Connor Shockley.
