'Make Mondays Better' Event Created at Washington Middle School

The Washington Middle School Student Council has started a new activity called “Make Mondays Better.”

STUCO students, along with advisers Dana Brinker and Amanda Nilges, host the event every Monday before school from 8-8:20 a.m. in the gymnasium. Every week has a different theme in which students are invited to participate in structured games and activities.

The theme on Monday, Oct. 8, was basketball, where members of the WMS basketball teams and other students played basketball. The gymnasium was full of students, many of whom showed up to just watch the action and socialize before school.

Make Mondays Better will take place throughout the school year. Prizes will be handed out on the last Monday of every month.
