Students in Philip King’s Project Lead The Way’s Principals of Engineering Class at Washington High School showed off their robot projects to Elementary Challenge students on Monday and Tuesday, March 8 and 9.
The Engineering students were put into eight groups of three as heir robot project began.
Each group had to choose a problem to solve. Each of the problems listed the constraints and the behaviors that each robot had to perform. The students then had to come up with a design for how to build the physical robot. Then they had to program the robots to perform the required behaviors. Each robot was a prototype.

Here are the robots that the groups picked:
*Elevator (two groups)
*Race Timer (two groups)
*Self-driving car that followed a line
*Winch that would wind a set length of rope
*Sun Tracker
