Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Commissioner Visits Four Rivers Career Center
Dr. Margie Vandeven, Commissioner of the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), visited the Four Rivers Career Center on Monday, May 10.
Vandeven took a tour of the Four Rivers Career Center during the 75-minute event, visiting with staff and students from each program. Students spoke about their overall program, classwork and projects they are currently working on, their experiences at FRCC and their future plans.
Also on the tour was Mike Wutke, DESE South Central Area Supervisor.
Giving the tour were School District of Washington Superintendent Dr. Lori VanLeer and Four Rivers Career Center Director Andy Robinson.
Also representing the School District of Washington on the tour were incoming Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Kephart, Board of Education members John Freitag, Jason Oesterly and Scott Byrne, FRCC Program Coordinator Ann Struttmann and FRCC College and Career Specialist Annie Wieland. Dr. Brenda Bouse from The Quality Coach also was on hand.
