Four Washington High School seniors from Four Rivers Career Center DECA have been selected as International qualifiers.
Qualifying students are Hailey Howerton in Public Relations Project, Allison Montgomery in Integrated Marketing Campaign Product, and Sophie Koritz and Sophie Hellebusch in Community Service.
All teams had to submit a written business plan as well as present their project to the judges at the state conference. The DECA State Career Development Conference was held in Kansas City on March 24-26.
DECA Internationals will be in Orlando, Fla., April 26-May 1. There are over 10,000 students that go to Internationals.
Howerton and Montgomery are in Marketing II. Koritz and Hellebusch are in Marketing III. The students have been working on their projects since the beginning of the school year.
Koritz and Hellebusch are raising money for All Abilities Athletics. Montgomery’s project is working with Neighborhood Reads. Howerton is working with Triumph Over Kid Cancer.
