Clearview Elementary Collects 1,145 Food Items for St. Peter's Festival of Trees
Staff and students at Clearview Elementary recently completed their food drive with items donated to the Community Festival of Trees at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Washington.
All food collected at St. Peter’s will be distributed to local food pantries.
The drive at Clearview Elementary was organized by the school’s Community Outreach Leadership Team. Those students are Sam Koper, Cody Fournier, Katelyn Klein and Kaiden Hoelscher. The team’s mentors are teachers Jennifer Kroeter and Alison Snider.
Classes at Clearview Elementary had a competition to see who could come up with the most non-perishable food items.
The winning class was Jennifer Kroeter’s fourth-grade class, who donated 134 items and won a hot chocolate party.
Overall, Clearview Elementary donated 1,145 food items.
