SDOW LogoClearview Elementary and Marthasville Elementary have been recognized for its SW-PBS (Schoolwide Positive Behavior Support) implementation efforts from this past year.

Clearview Elementary has been awarded gold level recognition. Marthasville Elementary was awarded silver level recognition.

Representatives from Clearview and Marthasville will attend the Missouri SW-PBS School Recognition Ceremony on Tuesday, June 11. The ceremony will be held in conjunction with the 14th Annual Missouri SW-PBS Summer Institute at Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach.

SW-PBS is an evidence-based, proactive approach to teaching and reinforcing positive behavior in students, thereby improving student behavior, creating safe schools, and maximizing instructional time and student engagement.

Over 1,000 educators from Missouri and beyond are expected to attend the conference to celebrate the exemplary schools, network with other educators, and learn about systems, data, and practices that improve social/behavioral outcomes for students.

Successful systematic changes, such as SW-PBS, will help Missouri reach the goal of the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s Show-Me Success Plan, which focuses on preparing all Missouri students to graduate ready for success.
