Campbellton Elementary Students Create Own Pancake Recipes

Students in Amber Sperry’s fifth-grade class at Campbellton Elementary worked on a project involving the making of pancakes on Friday, Oct. 18.

The students wrote their own recipes and then made pancakes from their recipes. They created their recipe based on research and made their pancake batter.

After tasting, they chose one variable to change and recreated/recooked their batter.

Students identified the state of matter as well as the constants and variables, used math to measure, and also incorporated ELA (English Language Arts) skills around their research and writing.
