Students in Jennifer Volkerding’s second-grade class at Campbellton Elementary put together a second-grade kindness project to help the Franklin County Humane Society.
The project was part of Campbellton Elementary’s theme for the school year, “Be the ‘I’ in Kind.”
The class put together a spirt week at Campbellton, where students and staff paid money to dress up as whatever the theme was for the day.
A total of $414 was raised by the second-grade class, which went directly to the Franklin County Humane Society. See the check presentation below.
The donation will help provide warm shelter, loving care and medical attention, as well as helping find families, for homeless pets.
