Campbellton Elementary held a spelling bee for students in grades four through six on Friday, March 6.
A select group of six students from grades four, five and six, participated in the spelling bee, which took place in the commons area with fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade students and teachers watching.
Paul Briggs, a sixth-grade student, was the winner of the spelling bee. Peter Bush, a sixth-grade student, was the runner-up.
Briggs will represent Campbellton Elementary at the Washington Missourian Regional Spelling Bee in May at East Central College.
Also participating in the Campbellton spelling bee were Elsie Schatz, Delia Reubell, Travis Rust and Billy Diestelkamp.
