Campbellton Champions for Character ServingCampbellton Elementary recently was named a Cardinals Care Champions for Character Serving Learning school, one of three schools in the St. Louis metro area that was recognized.

Cardinals Care has sponsored the Champions for Character Serving Learning recognition program in cooperation with CharacterPlus since 2004. The program goal is to increase awareness of the benefits of serving learning, and encourage schools to move from one-time service projects to more long-term, school-wide service leaning.

The recognition program honors three schools in the St. Louis metro area that have a school-wide ethos of service leaning. The school’s service learning must be infused in the curriculum and include student voice and reflection.

“I am deeply honored to receive this award for Campbellton Elementary, but I do so knowing that it is a reflection of the collective efforts of every individual within our school,” said Campbellton Elementary Principal Keshan Vogt. “From our exceptional teachers and staff to our talented students and supportive parents, each of them have played a crucial role in earning this distinction and making Campbellton an outstanding elementary school.”

Schools are honored with tickets to a Cardinals game for members of their school community, a banner, and representation on the field before the game.
