Augusta Elementary Holds Veterans Day Program

Augusta Elementary School held its Veterans Day Program on Tuesday, Nov. 7.

Students, staff, parents and other guests welcomed veterans to the assembly in the Augusta Elementary gymnasium.

The program featured guest speaker Lt. Col. Keith Monteith, retired U.S. Air Force, who spoke about his experiences in the military. Sergeant First Class Mike Lee, retired U.S. Army, was a special guest of the assembly.

Augusta Elementary sixth-grade students gave Veterans Day readings and K-5 students took turns with group singing performances.

Augusta Elementary paraprofessional Beth Roeder spoke about her family’s experience in the military.
