Augusta Elementary School recently held a spelling bee for students in grades three through six.
A select group of students participated in the spelling bee, which took place in the gymnasium with third-, fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade students and teachers looking on.
Dylan Mackin, a sixth-grade student, was the winner of the spelling bee. Kayden Young, a fourth-grade student, was the second-place finisher. Chase Humphries, a sixth-grade student, placed third.
Mackin will represent Augusta Elementary at the Washington Missourian Regional Spelling Bee April 27 at East Central College.
