WHS Track and Field Athlete Abigail Gilliatt Named Washington Missourian Athlete of the Week
Washington High School track and field athlete Abigail Gilliatt is the Washington Missourian Athlete of the Week, sponsored by First State Community Bank.
Gilliatt, a senior, increased her number of GAC Central championships to six as she claimed three gold medals in the 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash and was the leadoff for the 800-meter relay team.
Gilliatt broke the school record in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.62 at Waynesville, breaking the mark set by Jamie Riegel in 1999. Abigail will continue her academic and track career at the University of Central Missouri.
