Steve Temple
Hello Students and Parents,
I have been teaching at San Rafael High School since 2001 when I was hired to be the Director of Technology as part of the Digital High School program. I have taught computer programming, physics, math, film production, and electronic news gathering.
Before becoming a teacher I worked in industry as a computer programmer and consultant for custom software implementation and training. I graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder after studying Physics and the history and philosophy of science, as well as European Intellectual History.
I recently received my Master's in Science Teaching from the New Mexico Tech, a distinguished engineering and sciences university in the hot but beautiful desert of southern New Mexico. The school is located near, and runs the VLA - or Very Large Array - a massive radio telescope observatory seen in the movie Contact with Jodie Foster (cool little factoid).
I enjoy traveling, rock climbing and mountaineering, as well as riding my road bike. I love to tinker with robots and electronics as well as "code".
I look forward to a great year!
I am currently the Career Technical Education (CTE) Coordinator at SRHS and I currently teach in the Engineering Academy https://aetsrhs.org as well as the Media Academy https://maxsrhs.com
