Music Boosters
The San Rafael High School Music Boosters Association started over 15 years ago. We support the music program in many ways, including raising funds to help cover operating costs and enrichment opportunities. Funds are used for sheet music, equipment, instrument repairs, festival fees, coaches, accompanists, and scholarships for private music instruction.
In our monthly meetings with the teachers, we identify needs, design strategies to address them, and hear about festival performances, department updates, and other special events.
The Music Boosters sponsor an annual Big Band Dance where parents and students from the high school and Davidson Middle School enjoy and dance to the music of the two schools' jazz bands. This performance is the our main fundraising event and is a great night!
Stay tuned for the 2022-2023 concert schedule.
Thursday, December 2, 2021 - Jazz Choir and Jazz Ensemble
Sunday, August 29, 2021 - A Musical Tribute to Sean Castle
For more performances, see the YouTube playlist.
WeAreSR supports all SRHS booster groups and partners very closely with the Music Boosters to ensure adequate funding for our music programs each year.
This fund is in memory of Sean Castle, a beloved music teacher. Donations are used for students to attend special events and for scholarships in his name.
