At all grade levels students will read novels in addition to these core text.  Teachers may choose texts from a supplementary reading list, and/or students will be given the opportunity to read books they choose themselves.

During the reading of any novel, teachers and students will explore supplemental readings that include short stories, poetry, plays, articles and essays.
