How to contact Miss Harris
Please contact me via my district e-mail address. I rarely check the school loop e-mail. Or feel free to call or stop by the school if you need to talk about your student.

- Read every day!
- Read with your parents or siblings.
- Half of the books you read should be easy readers until you feel you have become a better reader.
- Find and read books that interest you - comic books are great if you enjoy them.
- Go to your school or local library at least once a week to select books (talk with your librarian he/she will often suggest books that you might find a good read).
- Audio books can help you become a good reader - check them out at your local library.
The surest way not to fail is to determine to succeed.

A World of Readers
Basic Reading
Our program is listed as Basic Reading. Because your student has shown the need for reading intervention he/she has been assigned to our program. READ 180 is the curriculum that is taught.
What is READ 180?
READ 180 is an intensive reading intervention program. READ 180 is proven to meet the needs of students whose reading achievement is below proficient level. The program directly addresses individual needs through adaptive and instructional software, high-interest literature, and direct instruction in reading, writing, and vocabulary skills.
