Meet the Principal

Dear Parents, Staff, and Community Members,

As the Principal of Purdy Elementary School, it is my sincere pleasure and honor to be a member of this outstanding school community. I will continue to work toward inspiring academic achievement and cultural excellence that will result in a collaborative partnership between the school, staff, parents, and community. I look forward to working with the dedicated staff, families, and community to provide our students with the best possible educational program.

A walk through our school will reveal dedicated and professional staff members who have high expectations for themselves and their students. Our staff members are not only devoted to their own professional growth and learning; they are skilled at what they do, and they combine this skill with a love for teaching our children. Our vision, resources, staffing, and school goals all focus on the needs of the whole child. Staff members support all children regardless of ethnicity, learning style, disability, or entry skills. With our close-knit Purdy family, every child receives the support they deserve. We work diligently each year, ensuring our students are healthy, safe, engaged, supported, loved, and challenged. We strive to nurture hope in our students’ hearts. We embrace the belief that every child will succeed when they have meaningful, sustainable relationships with caring adults who believe in them. Our Purdy community focuses on the whole child and ensures that ALL students will reach their highest potential academically, emotionally, and socially.

At Purdy, we realize that the job of educating our children isn’t just the responsibility of our school and its teachers, but the entire community. We believe that children benefit most from educational programs when their families actively participate in their schooling. Our staff’s efforts are bolstered by numerous community volunteers who are part of our extended family, including organized programs like WATCH DOGS and our Purdy PTA. There are endless opportunities to volunteer and be involved at Purdy. We appreciate your thoughts, insights, and encouragement as you join us in working with your children. We look forward to your partnership!

In closing, I am very honored and privileged to serve as the principal of Purdy Elementary. I look forward to working in partnership with you to make this year and future years positive, engaging, and successful for all of our children. I’m sure that if you haven’t discovered this already, you’ll come to see what I see—that the Purdy Elementary School truly is an extraordinary place.

Respectfully,

Kristi Brooks
