There is a lot of talking in geometry class today as the classes review properties of quadrilaterals. Students had two minutes to write everything they knew about the special quadrilaterals. They then compared with a partner and tweaked their lists. The group grew to four to compare and then we compared lists as a class. When we were done all students had an accurate list of properties to use to study for the test. We ended the review with students working with a partner to choose a quadrilateral that didn’t belong in a given group and explain the reason it didn’t belong. Hopefully, all that talking about the properties was valuable.
