Welcome Back to FACS: Mrs. Stobbe!
Welcome back Midgets! I am excited to start a new school year in the FCS classroom. Before I explain my 2020-2021 schedule, I thought I would provide some of my history. It all started for me, right here in Putnam County. I was born and raised by Tim and Barb Hodges, who are also Putnam County Alumni. After graduating in 2007 from Putnam County, I attended Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, MO. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education in 2010. I also graduated with my Masters in Educational Leadership from Northwest in 2011.
I was hired as a teacher at Putnam County in the fall of 2010 and have been teaching here for the last ten years. I teach various subjects related to Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) in the High School and serve as a co-teacher in various middle school classrooms. I am committed to providing students with real-world applications that they can apply to their own families. My extra-curricular duties include coaching varsity football cheerleading as well as advising our local FCCLA chapter. I currently live at Lake Thunderhead with my husband Clint Stobbe, who is employed as a loan officer at Farmers Bank of Northern Missouri. I have two children Savanah and Boston.
I always hoped I would have the opportunity to return to the school that provided me with an excellent education, athletic, and extracurricular opportunities that has molded me into the teacher I am today. I believe that learning is one of the most important ingredients to becoming all that you can be. How open you are to learning will help determine your path in life. Learning can be hard and frustrating at times; it can also be incredibly exciting and enriching. I look forward to conquering the struggles and celebrating the growth that students and teachers make this year at Putnam County!
