7th Grade Eats Their Homework

7th grade has been busy so far this year! Our first chapter was on the Cell System. We learned each part of the cell and it's function. We compared animal cells to plant cells. For a review of the chapter, we made edible cells. In groups of 4, they picked which type of cell they wanted to make. Each group brought in either a cake mix or brownie mix and we baked them in class. The students brought in edible toppings to represent the different parts of their cell. After they presented them to the class, they got to eat them! I've attached some pictures of the students with their projects. In chapter 2, we will be learning about the human body system and how it works together to help us function.
