FFA Coon Hunt
This year’s annual FFA Coon Hunt was held on Saturday, December 8th, 2018. There were 8 teams competing with a total of 43 participants. Approximately 65 people were present at the check-in to view the results of the hunt. Registration began at 4:30 p.m. and lasted until 6:00 p.m. After all the team fees were paid, the hunt began.
All teams were required to be back by 11:00 p.m. for check-in. This year many raccoons were brought in by all the teams. During check-in, the participants could enjoy soup, hot dogs, chips, and desserts brought in by FFA members.
The biggest raccoon which weighed 22.2 pounds was brought in by Lucas H, Torqe B, Cody C, Jacob H, Stephanie S, and Kaitlyn R. The smallest coon was brought in by Garrett M, Lucas L, Hunter V, Bryce K, Brendan S, and David R. The biggest and smallest opossum was also brought in by Levi F, Lance F, Mason H, Kalab S, Delaney M, and Gage P.
