FCCLA Attends Leadership Meetings at the Regional and State Levels
Fifteen students from the Putnam County FCCLA chapter attended the Regional 3 Leadership Meeting on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 in Macon, MO. The theme of the regional conference was, “The Magic in Me.” Members listened to a motivational speaker and magician and heard information about the NEMO Animal Shelter and their program, Puppies for Parole, which was this year’s regional service project. Regional information for the year was discussed and we competed in various contests against other FCCLA clubs in the Northeast region in areas such as name tag competition and banner competition.
Later in October, several students attended the State Fall Leadership Conference held in Osage Beach, MO. The theme of the conference was, "Launch into Leadership." Students attended workshops on various topics including leadership, chapter involvement, and national FCCLA programs. It was a great opportunity to network with other FCCLA members from around the state.
