Dr. Terry Whitworth, Academic Hall of Fame Recipient

 Terry Whitworth, PhD, is the 2012 recipient of the Putnam County Academic Hall of Fame title.  Dr. Whitworth graduated from Unionville High School in 1964, and went on to receive a BS in Education, Zoology major from Truman State University (formerly N.E. Missouri State University), a MS in Entomology and a PhD in Entomology from Utah State University.  He is the author of  Bird Blowflies of North America and Pest Management Study Manual for Pest Control Operators as well as a variety of scientific articles on blowflies.   Dr. Whitworth is also an expert witness in criminal cases and has a successful business in the pest control industry.
