Notice is hereby given by the undersigned Clerk of PIONEER School District No. 41, YELLOWSTONE County, State of Montana that the Annual School Election will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, by mail ballot. Ballots may be returned to the following locations, at the following times:
Location Prior to Election Day: Yellowstone County Election Office, 217 N 27th St Rm 101, Billings, MT and
Hours: 8:00 am- 5:00 pm
Location on Election Day: Yellowstone County Election Office, 217 N 27th St Rm 101, Billings, MT and
Hours: 7:00am to 8:00 pm
Electors will consider the following issues at the election:

A qualified registered elector who will be absent from the district during the time the election is being conducted may: a) vote in person in the election administrator’s office as soon as the ballots are available and until noon the day before the ballots are scheduled to be mailed; b) make a written request, signed by the applicant and addressed to the election administrator, that the ballot be mailed to an address other than the address that appears on the registration card. If you miss this regular registration deadline (30 days prior to the election), you may still late register at the county election office. NOTICE OF SCHOOL DISTRICT BOND ELECTION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of Trustees (the “Board”) of School District No. 41 (Pioneer), Yellowstone County, Montana (the “District”), that pursuant to a resolution duly adopted at a meeting of the Board on February 10, 2022, a special election of the registered voters of the District will be held by mail ballot election on May 3, 2022 for the purpose of voting on the question of whether the Board may sell and issue general obligation school building bonds of the District in the aggregate principal amount of up to Two Million Six Hundred Eighty-Three Thousand Three Hundred Fifty and No/100 Dollars ($2,683,350.00) for the purpose of providing funds to pay the costs of designing, constructing, equipping, and furnishing a new school building to serve grades kindergarten through eight that is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act and that features integrated learning technologies, a library and creativity studio, a multi-purpose space, and kitchen; making site improvements, including parking and playground improvements; related improvements; and paying costs associated with the sale and issuance of the bonds.
The bonds shall bear interest at a rate or rates to be determined at the time of sale and be payable semiannually during a term of not more than thirty (30) years.
The election will be conducted by the County Election Administrator solely by mail ballot. Ballots will be mailed to all eligible registered voters in the District on April 13, 2022, and must be returned by each voter, by mail to the Yellowstone County Election Administrator, Yellowstone County, P O Box 35002, Billings, Montana 59107, or in person to the Yellowstone County Election Administrator, Yellowstone County, 217 North 27th, Room 101, Billings, Montana, during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), weekdays (exclusive of holidays), April 14, 2022 through May 2, 2022.
On Election Day, May 3, 2022, the only place for deposit of voted ballots will be the office of the Yellowstone County Election Administrator, Yellowstone County, 217 North 27th, Room 101, Billings, Montana, which will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and all ballots must be in the County Elections Office by 8:00 p.m. in order to be counted. All ballots will be tabulated in accordance with Montana law with the results, if known, expected to be released after 8:00 p.m. on that day.
A qualified voter who will be absent from the District during the time the election is being conducted may:
(a) vote in person in the office of the County Election Administrator as soon as the ballots are available and until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day; or
(b) make a written request prior to noon on April 12, 2022, signed by the applicant and addressed to the office of the County Election Administrator requesting the ballot be mailed to an address other than that which appears on the registration records.
An elector may obtain a replacement ballot if his or her ballot is destroyed, spoiled, lost, or not received by the elector, by filling out and mailing, emailing, or faxing back a completed replacement ballot request form or by the elector personally appearing at the office of the Yellowstone County Election Administrator at 217 North 27th, Room 101, in Billings, Montana.
Ballots may be returned in person at the place of deposit listed above, or returned by mail. If returning by mail, please use the then-prevailing first-class-postage price or one Forever Stamp. Postmark date does not apply; ballots returned by mail must be received at the office of the County Election Administrator by the 8:00 p.m. Election Day deadline to be counted.
Please note, all electors, as defined in Section 20-20-301, M.C.A., are those who reside within the District and are registered to vote by the close of registration on April 4, 2022.
For electors who miss the close of registration deadline, such electors may register late and vote in the election by appearing in person at the office of the Yellowstone County Election Administrator located at 217 North 27th, Room 101, in Billings, Montana, and, pursuant to a preliminary injunction granted on April 6, 2022, providing to the County Election Administrator the electors’ voter registration information in verifiable form prior to 8:00 pm on Election Day. Note that the preliminary injunction is being appealed, but no decision on appeal has been made as of the date of posting this notice.

NOTICE OF TRUSTEE ELECTION CANCELLATION
WHEREAS, the number of candidates filing a Declaration of Intent and Oath of Candidacy for the open trustee position(s) for School Board of Trustees is equal to or less than the number of positions to be elected, the trustee election is not necessary.
THEREFORE, the necessary notice is hereby given that School Districts No. 3, 4, 15, 17, 21J, 23, 37, 41, 52, & 58 of Yellowstone County, State of Montana, Trustee Elections are cancelled.
