Dear Panther Families,
Earlier today, Riverstone Health and School District 2 held a press conference highlighting data points that will be used to determine potential school closure in Yellowstone County. The Pioneer School District will continue to focus on our new protocols and increased sanitation measures to ensure staff and student safety and intends to continue school in Plan A – full capacity.
However, if cases continue to rise as was outlined in today’s press conference, it may be deemed necessary to shift to our hybrid learning plan, Plan B. We will do our very best to give our Panther families as much notice as possible but you should begin preparing for that scenario sooner rather than later. We will move to a sustained, full remote learning plan, Plan C, if and only if the recommendation comes from our County Health Department due to a school closure mandate.
As a reminder, should the school face a positive COVID case within our district, we will move to remote learning and close for 48 hours to ensure complete sanitization of the buildings.
We appreciate your support as we navigate these unprecedented challenges. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Be well, Panthers!
Sincerely,
Melissa Schnitzmeier
