Pioneer Bake Sale Success: Raising nearly $400 for Flakesgiving

Your Pioneer Principal’s letter to the Flakesgiving Fundraisers!

Clip Art Thanksgiving Dinner Fundraiser
Pioneer Students and Families raised nearly $400 for the Billings Community Event called “Flakesgiving” where donations helped get a Thanksgiving dinner to needy families.

Good Morning Mark & Paul,

My name is Melissa Schnitzmeier and I am the principal of Pioneer Elementary.  Pioneer Elementary is a small school with big dreams of changing our community for the better.  We have been working hard to instill important values in our young Panthers and for the month of November, we chose to focus on the value of Generosity – what it means and what it looks like. As we learned about generosity and talked about our community, our young Panthers wanted to do something special to give back, and they chose Flakesgiving for that something special.

Through the help and support of our entire Panther Community, our staff and students put on a bake sale that raised almost $400.00 to put towards meals for Flakesgiving. We realize that the Flakesgiving meals went out on Saturday, and we apologize that we are a little late with our donation! However, we hope that you are still able to use these funds to help pay off the grocery bill and we thank you for all of the love and support that you show to the Billings Community and to those in need. We will get the check to you as soon as possible.

We hope that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

—Melissa
