Dear Panther Families,
I am writing to provide an update on where we are in terms of COVID-19 and navigating mitigation strategies. On December 27, 2021, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) updated its isolation and quarantine guidelines moving from a ten (10) day isolation/quarantine period to a five (5) day isolation/quarantine period.
However, it is not yet clear what the recommendations are for the K-12 school setting, as those recommendations have not been updated on the CDC website. I have reached out to our Yellowstone County Health Department for further guidance before we formally change Pioneer’s COVID-19 guidelines. As such, we will continue with the 10-day isolation/remote learning period until advised otherwise.
I will keep our Panther families apprised as to what I find out as more information comes in. I appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this new information.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Be well, Panthers!
Sincerely,
Melissa Schnitzmeier
