Welcome from Dr. Hector Maestre, our Principal!

As we turn into the final week of February, we look back on what has been a very successful month for so many of our Braves as measured by individual academic progress and a wide variety of personal success stories. Several of these examples are featured in this week's Totem Talk.
We are now preparing to enter the annual spring testing period beginning with the third and final F.A.S.T. progress monitoring assessment in early March (PM3) for freshmen and sophomores. The Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (F.A.S.T.) is a progress monitoring tool that is administered three times per year to track student progress in learning the Benchmarks of Excellent Student Thinking (B.E.S.T.) Standards throughout the school year. The results of each test (PM1, PM2, and PM3) are normally available online within 24 hours.
Seniors, please remember to take advantage of the College and Career Center while you are still here. This is a valuable asset open to all of our students throughout the school year, but with graduation only three months and many financial aid/scholarship deadlines approaching, for seniors sooner vs. later is the time frame to visit the CCC regarding college and post graduation planning.
Have a great week and thank you for reading.
