Hello! I've taught in the classroom for 27 years in grades from 2nd to 8th.  Most of my experience is with 4th and 5th grade, including teaching 6 years in a special education classroom.  My passion for helping students learn started with a few amazing teachers I had as a young student growing up in Seattle. That was followed by years in the horse business working with students of all ages and watching my own son grow and learn. Throughout my career, I've continued to learn and grow my skills within a wide range of teaching topics, including a more recent focus on STEM topics. My "loves" outside of education include my family (my husband, my son, my husband's daughter, and her family with 2 adorable granddaughters!), hiking, road and trail running, swimming, and biking.
