Assemblies and Author Series 
Event Description: Each year, the PTA sponsors a number of exciting educational presentations during school hours for students. Presentations are varied and include cultural dance and music performers and animal and nature shows. Another highlight are the visits from children's book authors and illustrators who come to discuss their work and sign copies of their books. The school holds assemblies to celebrate annual special events, including a Respect Assembly to honor Martin Luther King, Jr. and an Earth Day Assembly, and holds a monthly School Spirit Assembly as well. Assemblies are generally scheduled on Friday mornings, and parents are welcome to attend.
