When will we find out our child's classroom placement?

A few days prior to the start of school, you will receive a letter with information about your child's new teacher. Teacher assignments are posted on the front door of the school at this time. Classroom placement of your child is the result of a thoughtful process taking into account a number of factors. Final teacher assignments are made over the summer.

    What is the school schedule?

The school day for grades 1-5 begins at 8:30 am. When the bell rings, students line up in their respective classroom line.  Teachers then come outside to lead their students into their classrooms. Grades 1-5 attend school from 8:30 am - 2:50 pm, except on Wednesdays when they are dismissed at 1:45 pm.

Note: For two weeks of parent-teacher conferences in November, grades 1-5 are dismissed at 1:45 every day.

For kindergarteners, school also begins at 8:30 am. Parents can say good-bye to their child in the line or walk them to the door of the kindergarten classrooms and say good-bye. Kindergarten students are dismissed at 1:30 pm every day outside their classroom doors along Throckmorton Ave. For the first three weeks of school, kindergarteners are dismissed at 11:50 am.

The exact bell schedule can be found here.
