Substitute Teachers
To be a Substitute Teacher, you must:

  • show proof of a High School or College Transcript
  • complete an Extensive Criminal Background and DCS Search (info will be emailed to you)
  • complete Safety Tutorials on the Global Compliance Network (info will be emailed to you)
  • have a current Substitute Teaching Permit or Teaching License, issued by the state of Indiana (if you do not have a Substitute permit, the link will be emailed to you to apply)
  • complete Substitute application (link below)

Rate of Pay:
$90.00 per day ($45.00 per half day) with valid Indiana Teaching License
$80.00 per day ($40.00 per half day) with valid Indiana Substitute Permit

Substitute teachers are on an as needed basis during the school year.
Candidate must complete the printable Substitute application form below and
return to Helen Laviolette in the Superintendent's Office. Once we receive the
application back, you will receive an email with further instructions to get the
process started.
