Welcome to the Mount Sinai Art, Music, and Drama homepage
.  At Mt. Sinai, we believe that the arts play an important role in the quality of life. The arts foster self-discipline, initiative, commitment, and a dedication to improvement that enables students to further develop their skills in creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Students involved in the arts also learn to collaborate with others and to communicate more effectively.  In our increasingly complex global society, acquiring these skills and habits is essential for our youth.  That is why we encourage all students to participate, in some capacity, in the many wonderful fine and performing arts programs we offer.

Please use the links on this page for more information related to art, music, and drama at Mt. Sinai.

 Unity Through Artistic Collaboration
Through the MLK Project, begun in 2021 by the East End Arts Association, Mt. Sinai students unleashed their creativity by creating 16 individual panels that came together to create a 48" x 48" mosaic portrait of Jane Bolin, the first black woman to graduate from Yale Law School and to join the New York City Bar Association.  Students did a deep dive into the life and impact of Ms. Bolin and then combined their art to demonstrate the power of unity through artistic collaboration. The piece is for sale through EEA, with proceeds going toward the EEA Art and Music Scholarship Fund. finished portrait of jane bolin
