The 2023-2024 school year will be Ms. Symons' first year at Mountain Brook Elementary School. This will be her seventh year teaching. She spent her first two years in 4th grade, and this will be her fifth year in 3rd (her all time FAVORITE!). Ms. Symons received her Bachelors in Elementary Education from the University of Montevallo, and her Masters in Elementary Education from the University of West Alabama. Ms. Symons grew up in Pelham, AL and currently resides in Hoover, AL with her pup (Fitz) and two cats (Rizzo and Meiko). Ms. Symons loves being outdoors, whether it be hiking, swimming or kayaking. She also has a passion for music and loves spending her free time with family and friends. Ms. Symons believes in creating a positive and challenging classroom environment, and is thrilled to begin her journey at MBE. Go Lancers!
