Mrs. Fry is excited about beginning her fourth year at Crestline Elementary and working with students in all grades.  Mrs. Fry received her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama in Psychology and her graduate degree from UAB in Community/Agency Counseling.  She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist, who has 20 years of experience working with children from preschool through high school in a variety of settings. For the past ten years, Mrs. Fry has been one of the District Intervention Counselors for Hoover City Schools working with elementary, middle, and high school students.  Prior to being in a school setting, she worked at SafeHouse of Shelby County, Eastside Mental Health Center, and Children's Harbor Family Center at Children's Hospital, working with multi-disciplinary teams and providing individual, group, and family counseling.  

As a school counselor, Mrs. Fry makes establishing relationships with her students and families her top priority.  She will have the opportunity to begin building these relationships as she provides weekly whole group guidance, small group counseling and working individually with students as needed.  Mrs. Fry often reaches children through play, where she establishes a trusting relationship and safe environment for children to express themselves. Mrs. Fry lives in Mountain Brook, she is married and has three children, Rumsey, Lizzie, and Sanders plus their family's favorite four legged friends, Sam & Mack, who bring so much love and joy to her family.  She enjoys spending time with her family at the lake and on the golf course, reading, and being with friends.  Mrs. Fry is looking forward to getting to know the Crestline family and spending time with your children.
