Greetings and welcome to the 3rd grade! I am Mrs. Bankston and I’m looking forward to working with you this year. This is my 8th year teaching 3rd grade. I really enjoy this age group. I believe in keeping a positive mindset and building a community in the classroom. I aim to impact my students far beyond academics! I affectionately call my students "The Growing Greats", and I take great pride in being intentional about their growth as students who will one day be adults. When I’m not teaching or enjoying time with my family, I am working on my personal writing projects.

I received my Early Childhood Education Master’s Degree from Alabama A&M University and am currently working towards my National Board Teacher Certification in Early & Middle Childhood Literacy.
