I am excited about being your teacher this year. I am a retired engineer and decided to pursue my life's purpose by becoming a teacher. I previously taught in the Huntsville City Schools System, and I am now a Liberty Lion!  As a former engineer, most of the time I'm able to answer the question, "When will I ever use this in real life?" I love to connect mathematical concepts to real life applications to make math more meaningful to my students. 

I am married and have 6 stepchildren and 6 grandchildren. I'm the 8th of 10 children. Education was paramount to my parents, so all of my siblings obtained college degrees. I have three nieces, a nephew and a sister who are veteran educators.  I received my engineering degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and my Master of Education in Secondary Education from Alabama A&M University.
