Dr. Duana Shears

ABOUT DR. SHEARS:

  • Born and raised in Elkmont, Alabama.  
  • Have a daughter.
  • Hobbies include reading, traveling, and shopping. 
  • I started my teaching career in 2003. 
  • I started teaching at James Clemens High School in 2017.
  • I have experience teaching all grades, 6-12, including the following courses: Accounting, AP Computer Science Principles, Management Principles, Microsoft/IT, Math, BTA, Intro to TV, Multimedia Design, and Career Preparedness. This year I will also add Personal Finance to my list of classes taught.
  • I am the Student Teller Supervisor for the in-school Redstone Federal Credit Union school branch. 
  • I am a licensed Cremationist, Embalmer, & Funeral Director.
  • I have taught in Florida and Alabama.

I am looking forward to a prosperous 2024-2025 school year!
